LIFE WITH INVISALIGN
The First Two Weeks with Invisalign
1. Initial Soreness, Sensitivity
The aligners will feel tight at first. Expect to feel sore for the first 1-2 weeks and to feel some discomfort when taking the aligners on and off.
2. No, they are not obvious.
With this foreign plastic covering your teeth, you may initially feel incredibly exposed. But, more often than not, people won’t even notice them.
3. Slight lisp
The aligners are an adjustment to your mouth and you (more than anyone else) will notice a slight alteration in your speaking voice.
4. Expect to eat soft food
Because your teeth are being adjusted, you may feel initially sensitive to eating regular food. Prior to getting your aligners, stock up on your favorite soft foods, such as eggs, soups, pastas, potatoes, rice, avocados, ice cream, and milkshakes.
